PRINCIPLA'S MESSAGE
I am honoured and feel very privileged to be the Principal of Sri. Medhavi Junior College. I am always excited and look forward to working with our students, staff and parents to make Sri Medhavi Junior College the best college it can be. Jacques Delors has rightly said that EDUCATION is based on the four pillars of Learning to Be, Learning to know each other. Learning to Do, Learning to live and share together. “COLLEGE: the abode of learning” influence the all round development of pupils. Today, the role of a college is not only to pursue academic excellence productive members of an ever-changing global society. Students need to be provide with a platform to think, express and exhibit theirskills. It is necessary to empower them to negotiate several issues that confront the, with the teacher being a facilitator. The college is striving hard to make the best possible efforts to inculcate strong values combining with academics and extra-curricular activities in the children.
No wonder, a STUDENT harnessed in such an atmosphere has every hope and possibility of becoming a responsible, balanced and a mature adult and is able to live in to contribute and to shoulder responsibilities of the society, of which he forms an integral part. Children need to supportive environment at home and at college. They need to set goals, within their reach until they gain confidence and determination. They should re-examine their priorities, set clean goals and make specific plans to achieve what they desire. Focusing on specific goals, helps them move forward purposefully in life. They would, thus, have the pleasure of watching their dreams into reality. While ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE is our major thrust, the college is also devoted to prepare the students for life, groom them to face the challenges of tomorrow, and encourage them to be socially relevant.
We constantly endeavour to always live up to this ideology and inculcate this into everything we do, with the aim that we will be able to ensure that the children grow to their full potential, while constantly being groomed to pass out as men and women competent to bear responsibility in all walks of life. Our STAFF fruitfully employ two diverse strategies that are of Love and Logic to foster a positive learning environment for all our student. Love and Logic may seems like two contrasting forces. While love helps nurture trusting relationships, where students feel respected, appreciated and loved by the teachers, logic helps develop in studentspersonal responsibility, self-control, good decision making skills, self confidence and character building with high moral values. PARENTS need to devote quality time with their wards. As parents, we need you to develop a close rapport with the college and the teachers, in order to smoothen the ups and downs in the child’s development.
